Recommend some good PA RPGs
I already know about Gamma World and Mutant Future, but what about other Post-Apocalyptic RPGs? What are some good Post-Apocalyptic RPGs for other PA genres, such as zombie apocalypse?
Re: Recommend some good PA RPGs
Twilight 2000 (any version) works well for ZA. Aftermath! does as well, but it's very detailed.
Re: Recommend some good PA RPGs
D20 Apocalypse is must, no matter what system you use. Maybe that would make a good thread: Helpful game aids for all Post-Apocalyptic systems
Re: Recommend some good PA RPGs
Well there is Rifts, Dead Reign and After the Bomb all by Palladium Books.
Though I can't come up with any titles I think Savage Worlds has at least one book that has a PA setting. If not I am sure it would be easy to come up with one using the Savage Worlds Deluxe book. I know there is a fan made Savage Gamma World pdf out there.
I don't own Aftermath, but I have seen it and man does that look like a complicated game!
Then there was the Morrow Project. No real experience with this one.
Should Paranoia be on this list?
I am sure there are others but I don't want to bore you.
Thanks for reading,
'Volo.

Bore me? Not at all. I didn't ask a question only to not want peoples answers, that would just be crazy.

Hey "All Flesh must be Eaten" is a post zombie!!! Great game...some people say that you can not play it long term but I disagree..played a game for over a year. One thing about it is it is deadly so the players may have to adjust a little

AFMBE definitely has long-term potential. Looking at the Walking Dead, both comic and show, for that. Plus, there's the novelty of being able to create the zombie apocalypse to fit one's vision, not to mention the genre books.

I'd give recommendations to "Post Apocalyptic HERO" by HERO Games, for 5th edition HERO system. I've always liked the HERO system and it was a fun read regardless.

Re: Recommend some good PA RPGs
Hi,just joined and thought I`d throw in a few ideas.Morrow Project-good game but unfortunately bogged down with a convoluted character generation system which is a cross between original Traveller and Space Opera(anyone remember that one?).Needs to be simplified to make it more interesting to players.
P&P Fallout-Tons of stuff scattered round the net.I`ve printed off all the files I can find and from what I`ve read, even if you don`t use the system as written, most of the stuff can be fitted into your favourite set of rules.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer(don`t laugh)-has an easier character creation and combat system to AFMBE and the set we are using at our gaming club at the moment.I created a Watcher type character,ex British Army, versed in occult knowledge and most forms of combat. The 3 others in the group were all on a plane with my character heading(we thought)to Buffy territory when our DM suddenly informs us that our aircraft has been "ordered"to land at Racoon City Airport.Having given the Umbrella Corporation`s mercenary goons the slip we are now holed up in a Shopping Mall with a large group of survivors, fighting off Resident Evil type zombies,a 30ft long mutated alligator and an unknown number of giant frogs that escaped to the sewers prior to everything going pear shaped. The Mall is more fortified than Fort Knox,we have a fleet of vehicles and the entire contents of the National Guard Armoury and the main Police Stations armoury and now we are preparing to play the mercenary goons off against Umbrellas own troops while we probe the perimeter for an escape point.
