[PbP] Dodd4's Game: In Character

here's the spot for saying what your PC speaks. put there name and in aplicable comunication type
(ie telepathy, I'm tapping in morse code....etc) then sing out!

you arrived shortly after sunset, but even this early the lights are few.
only two buildings are brightly lit, a squarish one by the docks, and a round one that stradels the waters edge. from the music comeing from the round one it is probaely the local bawdy house, which means the othe is most likely the hireing hall. and thats the place to find out who has any jobs that need doing.

Dylan, sitting on top the building just south of the squarish building, admires the general darkness and beauty of the area. As the sun sets, he jumps of the building and folds his wings to his back. He pulls his hood over his head, hiding his less intimidating features in a shroud of mystery. He looks around for a moment before darting his tail towards the squarish building. With what looks like a smile, he walks over to the building, using his hand to shield his eyes from the bright lights. Once inside, he finds the darkest corner he can, and stands there, quietly observing the room.

[What do I see?]

the room extends the length of the building "L"ing around the corners.
there are two louverd shutters with a shelf and a bess as well as three ceiling to floor cork boards with posters, scraps of paper and other...materials tacked to them.

Dylan walks over to the cork boards, looking over all the pre-apocalypse items. He looks to see if there is a Chicago postcard anywhere on the shelf(If so, he'll attempt to pocket it, but also leave 5 GP in exchange). He then looks around to see what people are hiring for.

yes you find a card that says "WELCOME TO THE WINDY CITY" with a picture of the skyling from the lake.

Dylan pockets the postcard and leaves a few coins. He then looks for more information on J'honn Three Hands(such as where he his, and where he gets paid).

as to wherer you get paid that would be at the Gardenier Freestead which is up the coast about three days and close to the territory claimed by The Bloody Decker Badder clan. the best source for information on J'honn si the bawdy house.

So Dylan walks outside and glares at the bawdy house before entering.

[What do I see?]

a fair amount of foot trafic, seems like most of the young adults in the villiage are there along with the crews of at least two boats in port.
the humans and muntants seem to be mixing reasonably well, the place must annoy the bejeebers out of the Pureists!
as it's what would have been the fourth week of september the evening is cool and you are certainly not the only one cloaked and hooded.

Dylan pulls out Painkiller(Hook Scythe) and shouts "I'm looking for information on J'honn Three Hands, and I want it now!" almost growling as he says 'now', and spreading his wings out and darting his tail in all directions. Basically looking as badass as he can.

the music stops dead, as every head in the place, from the Katkin crew of bravoe to the double gaze of the Orlen bartender. the silence stretchs long till five feet outraged cream and white fluff with a lashing tail stalks up to you. a female, well formed human shaped persian house cat with eletric blue eyes. "this is MY place of business and I do NOT apreciate this sort of outburst!" she snapped, then she shifted gears and purrred "now if your willing to be civil purrhapse Miss Lavinea MAY be able to help, hmmm?"

Dylan puts away his weapon and folds his wings "Everybody else, get back to what you were doing before! Now Miss, if there is a dark, quite place we can talk? But first, name your fee. And would you have a bag or a sack?"

the music resumes and Miss Lavinea cathes they eye of a short human with a gesture. "Miggs, hun bring a sack to the office." then she turns to Dylan and cocks her head , "as for my fee, well thats better spoken of in...private. though I don't think you'll find it unreasonable" she says and then turns and sashayes toward the far side of the room, tail swishing.

Dylan grabs the sack and follows Miss Lavinea, admiring her tail as he walks, not too many people he's met have a tail.

she opens the door into a dimmly lit space, thirty by thirty lined with crates,
shelves and things under tarps. in one corner is a windowseat without a window, faceing the door is a huge desk with a bench and several chairs before it. Miss Lavinea flowws up onto the desk and says "take a seat."

Dylan just stands in front of the door "I'll stand. Now Miss, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Answers, now."

she cocks an eyebrow, "what I know is simple and so is my fee. according
to my sources the "relation" was killed in an argument over the location of a bunker. my fee is that I would like to be the agent in this villiage for any of the goods recovered. if you bother to bring anything back, if not then
the money saved by your not disrupting business is compensation enough hmmmm? is this acceptible?"

"You're smart, you think ahead, I like that. But enough about us, I want my information. I'll keep what I need and the rest is yours, it's a deal or it's death. Nice and simple, like your slum of town. Now where is he? And where is the dead man? And who is in charge of the police force?"

she rocks back with a tinkeling luagh, "police force? hun there are barely enough folks in this spot to rate a couple constables and a sheriff,
you'll find them at the only solid ancient building here abouts, big brick one next to the hireing hall. this time of night look for Constable Oabie. " her eyes lose focus for a heartbeat, then she continues, "he was last seen headed into ruins near old highway fourtythree almost a day west inland. he's medium height, hmmm brown on brown third arm centered in his lower chest. that all for now if more comes in it will be passed along."

Dylan walks out without another word. He walks into the brick building "I'm looking for Constable Oabie. And I'll see him now."

another low light place high celings with dark brown wooden waistcoating and muddy green plaster. the room is sectioned by railings counters. from behind one a mass of fur rise's to its feet and keeps riseing. a seven foot three human mutant , without an inch of skin showing all of it is covered with fur, mane or goggels. he's wearing bib overalls and crossed belts.
"what can ah do for ya?"

"Did I not make myself clear? I'm looking for someone! Now furball, could you help me with even such a small task?"

"seems thet sumone who CAN'T TELL WHEN HIS OWN QUESTION IS BEIN ANSWERED shouldn't take sech a high attitude or ya might find yerself being fed those wings wi barbeque! now frum tha top wa do ya want frum me?"

"Listen to me carefully, I've travelled a long way to try to find some work. Now stop trying to make me angry, or in a instant, you'll be without a head, got that? Now who did J'honn kill? I want his body and the location of his previous residency, now!"
